Pulau Seribu means a "Thousand Island" consisting of almost 128 small islands located in the Bay of Jakarta in the Java Sea. Most of these are inhabited and can be reach in about 1 - 2 hours from Marina Ancol by ferry or by chartered board. The surrounding reefs are home to a wide variety of fishes, making Pulau Seribu an ideal spot for diving, Snorkeling and fishing. Some of the islands is this group developed for tourism are Pulau Bidadari, Pulau Ayer, Sepa, Coconut, Pelangi, Bira, Pantara, Kul-kul and Pulau Putri. There are also cabins for tourists, besides golden beaches fringed with coconut palms. The surrouding waters are a paradise for skin divers.They are filles with a myriad of tropical fish, which live among the multicolored corals. The Pulau Putri Paradise Co. has developed Pulau Putri, Pulau Melintang, Pulau Petondang and Pulau Papa Theo as a holiday resort with cottages, restaurants, diving and sailing facilities.

Pulau Bidadari or Angel Island is one of the islands in Kepulauan Seribu which has attracted many tourists and a haven for tourists who want to explore the thousand islands. Thousand Islands (Kepulauan Seribu) are famous for its beautiful islands that were there, including Angel Island. Angel Island is surrounded by many large trees and has a beautiful view. Previously the island is called Pumered Island and Sakit Island, but later changed to Angel Island inspired by islands in Kepulauan Seribu such as Nirvana Island, the Island Princess and other islands that show the name of a matter that relates to heaven or beauty.

The island is located between the island of Onrust, Kelor Island, Khayangan Island and Anyer Island, including in the South Thousand Islands sub-districts and Thousand Islands districts. Distance from Marina Ancol to Angel Island is only about 30 minutes by speed boat.

Pulau Bidadari is currently one of the tourist destinations in the Thousand Islands, while also there is another island that is well known by tourists such as Tidung Island, Pari Island and Hope Island. When you in Angel Island you will see the natural beauty and feel comfortable atmosphere while there. There are also many historic relics such as inscriptions, Martello fort VOC, and cannon that once were built in this place and also local resident’s culture are worth to look.

The island used to be an uninhabited island until 1970, but a company called PT. Seabrezz makes this island as a tourist destination and begins to manage it in the 1970s.

Angel Island has some of the rare plants that are rarely found elsewhere. Some of them are peace tree (baringtonia exelsa), Setinggi trees (pempis acidula), billowing trees, glodokan tree, ebony tree (Diospyros maritama), and mangrove forests that flourished on the island.

Unique building decoration accompanied with trees and beautiful ocean views can evoke a romantic atmosphere for you. In addition to historical relics from the Dutch colonial era the main attraction of this island,  Angel Island has white sandy beaches with crystal clear sea water. Some rare plants such as the tree of peace (baringtonia exelsa), billowing trees, trees Sentigi (pempis acidula), ebony tree (Diospyros maritama), glodokan trees, some fruit trees, as well as mangrove forests growing and well preserved on the island.

 Another that, There is The Tidung Island in the Seribu Islands is a small island which is still part of the Jakarta Province. One of the series beautiful islands in the Thousand Islands (Kepulauan Seribu). Tidung Island is famous throughout Indonesia even until abroad with its natural beauty, the friendliness of its people and the uniqueness of its tourism.

Tidung Island is consisting two main island, Tidung Kecil Island (Small Tidung) and Tidung Besar Island (Large Tidung). Both Tidung Island is linked by a bridge made from iron and concrete along the approximately 0,43 miles, Jembatan Cinta or meaning Bridge of Love, which became one of the iconic Tidung Island tours. So it’s not surprising if Tidung Island that located in the Thousand Islands later did become a favorite for tourists who want to spend their Island vacations, especially on weekends.

As the tourism destination, this beautiful Tidung Island has complete facilities like; school, hospital, mosque, and many cottage and resort rent to stay the visitors. The beach is very beautiful with the water activities like; canoe, donut, jet ski, banana boat, and other activities you can enjoy.

Only a short trip by fast boats or Ferry from Jakarta, Tidung Island is a paradise amongst tropical waters.
